Baroka FC are hoping new signing Armand Gnanduillet will bang in the goals next season

Baroka FC believe new signing Armand Gnandulliet will get them goals next season after confirming his signing this afternoon.

The French-born 26-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Limpopo based outfit. He will join the club for pre-season which starts on June 12.

The former Ivory Coast under-23 international’s contract with English side Blackpool is set to expire next month.

Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila is excited about the signing and says he is counting on the big striker to solve the team’s scoring problems upfront. The likes of Lucky Nguzana and Lewis Macha, who have been shown the door by the club, did not do the required job for Bakgaga upfront and now Gnandulliet will be relied on to ensure the club does not struggle the same way it did during the past season.

"It's two years, with a one year option. He scores goals," Mammila tells Kickoff.com.

“He was playing for Blackpool. It’s my duty to shop around for players and luckily my contacts worked. I spoke to the boy and I invited him to come to South Africa. He came to the country today and he signed. He is leaving the country and hewill join the team when we start on the 12th.

He adds: “We were lacking a bit upfront, so I think he will help us big time. He has the experience and I believe he will do well.”

Gnanduillet has played his football in England since 2013, donning the colours of Chesterfield, Leyton Orient and Blackpool. He also played in France, for Le Havre AC and AS Poissy.

Mammila did not want to say if the club will be making more signings, but KickOff.com has been infomed that more players will be joining the ambitious outfit.
