Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has told manager Jose Mourinho how to deal with midfielder Paul Pogba, with growing uncertainty surrounding his long-term future.
Pogba, 25, rejoined United in a club-record deal in 2016 but has struggled to replicate the form that made him one of Europe's most feared midfielders at Juventus.
The France international recently refused to rule out a second exit from Old Trafford with reports linking him to Paris Saint-Germain in the off-season.
While Scholes admits it's the usual talk during international camps, he feels Mourinho should cut his ties with the Frenchman if he doesn't show commitment to improving at the Red Devils.
"Once the season is over and players meet up with their international teams there are always some comments made," he TalkSPORT. "But look, if players aren’t happy, let them go. That’s always the way I feel about it."
Despite acknowledging that the technically gifted player may cause unrest at the Premier League giants, Scholes conceded there's still a chance for Pogba to redeem himself next season.
"Pogba has been just okay this season for a player of his quality. There's still time. He's only been there a couple of years and he's still a young-ish player.
"Let's hope he produces more of his Juventus form next season."
