Manchester United are set to be on the lookout for talent in South Africa through one of the club's scouts, according to reports.
African-based scout Omar Sciolla is set to jet into the country to attend the upcoming COSAFA Cup tournament to be hosted in Polokwane from May 28 to June 9.
According to TimesLive, Sciolla, who is now based in Senegal as The Red Devils' chief African scout, was also in attendance at the CAF Champions League encounter between Horoya and Mamelodi Sundowns in Conakry on Tuesday.
With the Bafana Bafana squad having been finalised yesterday, a number of Stuart Baxter's charges will be hoping to make a good impression with the hopes of catching the former Juventus scout's eye.
United previously had one South African on their books in retired Cape Town-born central midfielder Quinton Fortune, who spent six fruitful years with the English Premier League giants.
Manager Jose Mourinho is also familiar with what Mzansi has to offer, having previously worked with all-time Bafana top goal scorer Benni McCarthy, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League with FC Porto in 2004.
