Sundowns have already signed Guinea’s Toni Silva going into next season and they’ve been linked with Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali, while the likes of Khama Billiat, Asavela Mbekile, Mogakolodi Ngele, Cuthbert Malajila and Thabo Nthethe are expected to leave the club.

Youngsters Keletso Makgalwa, Thendo Mukumela and Katlego Otladisa, who was signed in January and immediately loaned back to Platinum Stars, could be given an opportunity to play regularly on loan.

Yannick Zakri and Fares Hachi will return from their loan spells at Ajax Cape Town and Chippa United respectively, but they could be loaned out again or sold by the club. There's interest in North Africa for Zakri, so he could leave South Africa sooner than most would have expected.

“When we feel that you are not yet ready to take the intensity and the pressure of winning every day and getting to understand the way we play as quick as possible, we can always try loan you out. But we loan you out to a team where we know you are going to add value,” Mosimane tells KickOff.com.

“Sometimes we loan them to a smaller club, like Zakri where he is. I am not saying Ajax is a small club, but I am saying he was at a club where there was pressure to survive. So that’s what we build on the mental side, of not sending a player to a team where they are okay and they’ve achieved a position. They are in difficult situations.”
