John Comitis says there is no truth to rumours linking Maritzburg United defender Bevan Fransman with Cape Town City as he has already found a suitable replacement for Robyn Johannes.
As reported by KickOff.com recently, the Citizens are bringing in a North African centre-back on a four-year deal to fill the void left by Johannes's departure to Bidvest Wits.
"Nothing, nothing, nothing ... I have not spoken to him [Fransman]. People are speculating, nothing happened," City chairman Comitis tells this website.
"Yes, I did find a replacement [for Johannes]; the North African who's played in Europe. I'm not gonna give it to you [his name] until I have him here in Cape Town in two weeks' time. He is North African, he is currently playing in Europe.
"He is a defensive footballer. He is a complete player, strong, quick, good header, good leader. He replaces Robyn. He has already signed, I'm just waiting for some paperwork then it's done. Four seasons."
