Judge Raylene Keightley is set to announce her judgement on Ajax Cape Town's urgent interdict of the play-offs on Friday afternoon.
Ajax earlier this week applied for an interdict of the promotion/relegation play-offs, which kicked off on Wednesday, in hopes of having the SAFA arbitrator's decision overruled by the South Gauteng High Court.
The arbitrator's judgement was announced on Tuesday morning, resulting in The Urban Warriors being docked points and subquently falling into 16th position and denied the chance to contest the play-offs.
The Cape-base club quickly turned to the High Court to put a stop to the play-offs, in which Platinum Stars had been drafted into, with Judge Keightley hearing the arguments from the various parties on Wednesday morning.
The aim was ultimately to halt the match between Black Leopards and Stars at the Thohoyandou Stadium, which started at 15h00, but proceedings went beyond the scheduled kick-off time and judgement was then reserved.
With Jomo Cosmos now set to host Leopards at the Vosloorus Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Judge Keightley is set to announce at 14h00 whether the play-offs will go ahead as scheduled.
