Mkhanyiseli Siwahla pained by Ajax Cape Town relegation/Tendai Ndoro debacle

Former Ajax Cape Town winger Mkhanyiseli Siwahla is pained by the club's relegation to the National First Division.

SAFA on Tuesday announced Ajax had been docked points for fielding an ineligible player in Tendai Ndoro, who played for three clubs this season in contravention of FIFA rules.

The Urban Warriors saw their results with Platinum Stars, Polokwane City and SuperSport United be tallied as 3-0 defeats, resulting in them dropping to the bottom of the Absa Premiership table, and Stars taking their place in the play-offs with Black Leopards and Jomo Cosmos.

Ajax are turning to the courts to try and interdict the play-offs, with Dikwena due to visit Leopards at 15h00 today at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Siwahla, who became the PSL's youngest scorer when he slotted a penalty in the Absa Cup against Dynamos in 2004 at the age of 15 and 154 days, is saddened by the developments.

“I'm sad because Ajax gave me a lot of life and I was about to beg them to come back,” the 29-year-old tells KickOff.com from Slovakia where he plays for Partizán Bardejov in the second division.

“As I said, they gave me life and I told myself from Europe it’s Ajax. I don’t know what to really say now.

“I knew that what ever happens to me if I die tomorrow Ajax were going to bury me because I made history in that club, I did everything in that team.

“In that team we were family, not friends. Ajax changed my life in many ways and today I know what to do because of Ajax, and I made history in South Africa.”

He continued: “I remember Thulani Serero when he was a young boy at Ajax, he wanted to give up and I and Clifford Ngobeni told him he must not give up ... his time will come.

“Now Serero a is big boy in South Africa. All in all Ajax have given us life and I just hope they’ll come back stronger because we all go through defeats in life.”
