Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Oupa Manyisa believes the team are well worth their Absa Premiership title triumph but admits there is little time for celebration as their season continues apace.

The Brazilians hoisted the topflight trophy at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Saturday following their final-day draw against Bloemfontein Celtic.

For Manyisa, it meant a title triumph in his first campaign in Chloorkop, having joined from PSL rivals Orlando Pirates at the end of last term.

"It's great to be a champion," Manyisa told SuperSport TV." "We worked very hard this season so we deserved something."

Speaking of his first campaign with Sundowns, 'Ace' added: "When I came here, they told me that I mustn't put pressure on myself, I must just play football because they know what I'm capable of, and that's all I needed."

Manyisa does, however, admit there is little time for relaxation as thoughts already turn to Wednesday's titanic clash against European juggernauts Barcelona.

Sundowns are then back in CAF Champions League action as Group C continues, meaning there is no time to rest for Manyisa and his teammates.

"The work continues. This is the only time that you're going to have fun [the final day of the season], with my team-mates," he concluded.
