Orlando Pirates' medical room has taken in more casualties ahead of their final Absa Premiership clash of the 2017/18 season against Free State Stars.
Coach Milutin Sredojevic will have plenty to ponder when he sets up his team to face Ea Lla Koto on Saturday afternoon (15h00), with Musa Nyatama and Mpho Makola both ruled out for the game.
The trio join Luvuyo Memela, who recently underwent successful knee surgery, Thembinkosi Lorch, who went under the knife following a dislocated shoulder, as well as Thabiso Kutumela, whose season also ended prematurely due to an ankle injury.
'Nyatama sustained a knee strain during the Cape Town City match and is currently undergoing physiotherapy. According to the medical department, Nyatama is expected to be out for up to a week,' read an update on Bucs' website.
'Mpho Makola, another casualty from the Cape Town City match, is suffering from an ankle sprain and is expected to be out for up to three weeks. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation.'
Meanwhile, forward Bernard Morrison and defender Marc van Heerden are doubtful for this weekend's fixture as they await the doctor's diagnosis on groin and foot injuries respectively.
Utility player Gladwin Shitolo also faces a late fitness test after complaining about sesamoiditis, which shows up as pain in the ball of the foot underneath the big toe.
Pirates have little to play after falling short to Mamelodi Sundowns in the title race, and have already secured second spot and their return to the CAF Champions League later this year.
