Kadodia clear on Fileccia position

Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has made clear the club's desire to retain in-form striker Andrea Fileccia.
Fileccia's two-year contract with the club expires at the end of the season, but there is an option to renew.
The Belgian only scored one goal in 12 appearances last term as he struggled with a knee injury in the shadow of Zimbabwean targetman Evans Rusike.
However, Fileccia has shone upfront since Rusike's departure to SuperSport United in January, netting nine goals in 25 outings this campaign - including three in the club's march to the Nedbank Cup final.
“Yes, yes, there’s no doubt about it [we want to keep Fileccia]. Fileccia has done a good job in the team,” Kadodia says.
“He came in late because we had Rusike playing all the time. He’s taken the mantle and there’s no doubt about it, we’d love to keep him at Maritzburg United.”
The 26-year-old was recruited to the club from Free State Stars by former Maritzburg mentor Ernst Middendorp.
The Team of Choice, in fourth spot on the table, will conclude their league campaign against Golden Arrows at Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday (15h00).
Fadlu Davids' side will then contest Nedbank Cup honours against Ea Lla Koto at Cape Town Stadium on May 19.
