The Confederation of African Football has approved Mamelodi Sundowns' request to have their Champions League fixture rescheduled.
CAF sent out a letter to confirm that The Brazilians will now face Guinean outfit Horoya in their group stage clash on May 22, rather than on the previously slated May 15.
This is due to Sundowns having arranged a high-profile friendly with Spanish giants Barcelona on May 16, in celebration of the late former South African president Nelson Mandela's centenary.
The fixture had already gained approval from the Premier Soccer League, who on Monday confirmed support of the event "of an extraordinary nature", despite possibly overshadowing the hype of the Nedbank Cup final on May 19.
The newly crowned Absa Premiership champions will face the La Liga champions at the FNB Stadium, with further details still to be confirmed.
