Highlands Park are assessing Ivorian Adam Kangoute and Ugandan national team vice-captain Isaac Isande ahead of the club's return to the Absa Premiership next season.
Highlands official Thierry Mulonzo confirmed the National First Division champions have handed trials to ex-Asec Mimosas defender Kangoute and fellow centre-back Isande.
"Adam Kangoute is a free agent and he's been here for two sessions training with us. So we would like to see more of him of course," Mulonzo tells KickOff.com.
"Isaac Isande has only one session that he's done with us, he has just arrived. He has represented Uganda all the time, he is a vice-captain of the Uganda national team."
Isande's representative Paul Mujuni, of FortlandsSports, speaks highly of his client.
"I brought in the Ugandan centre-back Isaac Isande for [an] assessment at Highlands Park. He has played for big clubs before, St George of Ethiopia and Buildcon of Zambia. He is a free agent now," Mujuni says.
"He wears number five, he is a vice-captain of the national team of the Uganda Cranes after Onyango [Mamelodi Sundowns keeper, Denis]. He is very quick and an intelligent centre-back. He is a hard worker. We call him Fabio Cannavaro [legendary Italian defender] as his nickname."
