Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Patrick Mabedi explains Bruce Bvuma ahead of Brilliant Khuzwayo

Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Patrick Mabedi insists he has no problem with out-of-favour goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo.
Khuzwayo was a notable absentee from the bench in Chiefs' last two matches against Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United, with Mabedi deciding to go with Bruce Bvuma as his substitute to provide cover to undisputed number one Itumeleng Khune.
This raised suggestions that Mabedi may be planning for life without Khuzwayo, who has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
But Mabedi says the idea was merely to give the young Bvuma a feel for the first team.
“At Kaizer Chiefs you have amazing players, unbelievable players that you can even pick up anyone and go and play,” Mabedi says.
“We wanted to rotate a little bit and refresh the team as we knew we would be playing back-to-back. And for Khuzwayo we needed to give the youngster a little bit of the feeling to be in the team.
“There is nothing wrong with Brilliant and coming to Sibusiso Khumalo and Edmore Chirambadare they have been working so hard at training.
“We played two matches back-to-back and we thought we could give some players a rest and give others an opportunity as well. That's exactly what we did and I'm happy they did well.”
