Luc Eymael says no one would have bet even R10 on Free State Stars reaching Nedbank Cup final

No one would have bet as much as R10 on Free State Stars reaching the Nedbank Cup final.
This is according to Stars coach Luc Eymael, whose side saw off Kaizer Chiefs in a semi-final that was marred by crowd trouble at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban last weekend.
The Bethlehem-based outfit last contested a final in a 2-0 losing effort to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Rothman's Cup in 1999.
Ea Lla Koto have also exceeded expectations in the league, as they are fifth on the table with two games left - having narrowly survived relegation last term courtesy of goal difference.
“I don’t think anybody here in South Africa should’ve bet R10, and only R10 on us to go to the final of the Nedbank Cup," Eymael said.
"Or on us to be safe so early from relegation. Or on us finishing in the top eight but we did it.
“We’re playing all our games with heart and a competitive spirit you know.
“Our attitude and results will determine now who’ll go perhaps to the play-offs.
“Our results will be very important.”
Stars will meet Maritzburg United in the Nedbank Cup final at Cape Town Stadium on May 19.
Eymael's men will first host Polokwane City at Goble Park this Saturday before concluding their league campaign against title contenders Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on May 12.
