Mosa Lebusa netted in the dying moments to hand Ajax Cape Town a priceless 1-0 win over Baroka FC in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday night.
Lebusa almost grabbed the lead for the Urban Warriors as early as the third minute after connecting well with a corner-kick but his header went slightly over the bar.
The home side were still probing after 20 minutes but could not trouble Bakgaga shot-stopper Ayanda Dlamini.
Lucky Nguzana almost broke the deadlock for MacDonald Makhubedu’s troops in the 31st minute with a rocket strike from range but his effort, although threatening, could not find the target.
Yannick Zakri should have got on the scoresheet for the Urban Warriors three minutes before the break after he was sent through on goal but guided his effort wide.
After a quiet start to the second half, Ertugral twisted his shape on the hour-mark by bringing on striker Samuel Julies in place of defender Isaac Nhlapo.
Toriq Losper was unlucky not to have found the breakthrough for the hosts in the 68th minute with a curling strike from just outside the box but Dlamini parried his strike over the bar.
Zakri had a golden opportunity to steal all the three points three minutes before time for the hosts after going clear on goal but fired wide.
However, Lebusa netted for the Urban Warriors in stoppages with a header to seal the win and climb out of the relegation zone.
