Celtic and Chippa share the spoils

Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United had to settle for a 0-0 draw in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday evening.
Celtic welcomed back Lorenzo Gordinho from suspension and were looking to get back on the winning trail after drawing their last two matches.
After a slow start, Siwelele managed to sustain the early pressure from the Chilli Boys who were unfortunate not to punish them with the few chances they created in the opening sequence.
Without Ndumiso Mabena, the home side found their groove and orchestrated a few half-chances that Victor Letsoalo, Deon Hotto and Ruggert Nyundu were unable to bury.
The tightly congested play from both sides continued well towards the close of the half, and with neither goalkeeper fully tested, both went into the break tied goalless.
Following the second half, the same pattern ensued from both sides with chances filtering through few and far between in the opening 20 minutes.
In spite of the changes from either side off the bench, it did little to bring any effect to the score-line with woeful finishing the main culprit at either end.
That steered the clash to a goalless draw, with both sides failing to live up to the pre-match expectations given their neck-and-neck standing on the table.
