PSL Disciplinary Committee issue sanction on Kaizer Chiefs

The Premier Soccer League's Disciplinary Committee have handed down their ruling on Kaizer Chiefs, following crowd trouble at their game against Chippa United.

After sanctioning Orlando Pirates with a two-match stadium ban on Tuesday, the PSL DC have handed a R250 000 fine to Amakhosi, with 80 percent thereof suspended.

This come after fans behaved in an unruly manner after their 3-0 thumping at the hands of the Chilli Boys at the FNB Stadium less than two weeks ago.

"The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee has handed down its sanctions against Kaizer Chiefs FC on charges of spectator misbehaviour resulting from the club’s failure to provide adequate security," read a statement released on Thursday.

"The Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Kaizer Chiefs with a fine of R250 000.00 of which R200 000.00 was suspended for 24 months on condition they are not found guilty of a similar offence during that period."
