Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare says the team is in high spirits ahead of their crunch CAF Confederation Cup clash this afternoon.
The Clever Boys departed Johannesburg on Monday evening and landed in Lagos on Tuesday morning, before travelling to Aba, where they will face Nigerian outfit Enyimba at UJ Esuene Stadium.
The aggregate score is currently at 1-1, with the hosts boasting an away-goal advantage, and Wits will have a mountain to climb in what is likely to be hostile conditions at the match venue.
However, Monare remains positive of getting a result away from home and calls on his teammates to dig deep as they know what atmosphere to expect.
"We know how it happens here, but we're positive and we're looking forward to the game," said the former Jomo Cosmos skipper.
"We know that we're going to have to be strong and dig deep because, obviously, it's not going to be easy. We're not at home, we know what to expect [from the crowd] but that shouldn't stop us from playing football.
"So, we just have to go out there with a positive mentality, and if we don't carry our big hearts with us then we're going to have a problem."
Kick-off of the final leg of the second round clash is scheduled for 17h00 (SA time).
Should the Braamfontein-based outfit progress with a favourable scoreline, history will be made as the club have yet to contest the group stages of a continental club competition in their 97-year history.
