Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes that defender Anele Ngcongca has finally found his feet at the Brazilians.
Ngcongca is yet to match expectations at Chloorkop since his arrival in August last year from Belgian outfit Genk. The Bafana Bafana international has largely played second fiddle to Thapelo Morena at right-back, with injuries also not helping his cause in Tshwane.
However, Mosimane feels Ngcongca's performance in the 2-0 win over Bidvest Wits on Saturday shows he is getting back to his best. It was only the sixth time the 30-year-old has completed 90 minutes in the Absa Premiership this season.
"I am very happy about Anele finally finding his feet and finding his form," Mosimane said.
"For me he was man of the match against Wits. I know you gave it to Themba Zwane because he scored. But I am little bit emotional about him [Ngcongca] because I have been waiting for him.
"Against Chippa United he gave us the first goal after good combination play and he did well. He didn't finish the game. Against Wits he finished the game and I am happy he played well. This is the Anele we signed. This is the Anele I know, I am happy. We are happy we have been patient with him and he is a professional."
Downs will look to extend their three-point lead over Orlando Pirates at the summit tonight when they play their game in hand against relegation-threatened Golden Arrows at Loftus Versfeld (19h00).
Mosimane's side have 52 points from 26 league games.
