Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he did not want to reveal the importance of tonight's game against Bidvest Wits to his players in the dressing room prior to the kickoff.

Sundowns moved six points clear at the top of the Absa Premiership after beating The Clever Boys 2-0 on Saturday evening.

“I think we started very well to be honest. We created chances, scored our first two goals, sometimes we elaborated too much, passing and passing instead of shooting but we scored the two goals and thats it,” the former Bafana Bafana coach told SuperSport TV.

“Second half, you know the story, they have to react and we have to manage the game.”

Mosimane also commented on the run of fixtures his side face as the season reaches its final stretch.

“It’s a heavy load, that’s why 'Vila' [Sibusiso Vilakazi] was taken off, we need him. I don’t like rotating a lot but we have to manage the game," he added.

“This game was very important, I didn’t want to highlight it too much but in the dressing room, they knew about it. It gives us for the fourth year in a row a [CAF] Champions League spot.

"It also gives us a six points gap between us and Orlando Pirates.”
