Atletico Madrid attacking talisman Antoine Griezmann has responded to reports surfacing in Spanish media claiming he will join FC Barcelona in the off-season.
Griezmann has been linked with moves to the Barca and Manchester United over the past 12 months but reports claimed the France international's £178m (R3.04b) release clause has been activated and he will join the LaLiga leaders at the end of the season.
The player himself recently admitted to doubts surrounding his long-term future at the Wanda Metropolitano and claimed he wanted it sorted by the time the 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign kicks off.
And after scoring the equalising goal in the Madrid Derby on Sunday, the 27-year-old finally broke his silence surrounding the reports linking him to the Camp Nou.
"I don't know where that information comes from," he told the 'Telefoot', as quoted by Marca. "But I don't know anything about it, so, for now, there is nothing. "[These reports] are false."
Griezmann has been immense for Atleti, who's been suffering from their previous transfer ban this season, scoring 25 goals and registering 13 assists in 40 games across all competitions.
