Images and video of Kaizer Chiefs fans' reaction after the team's defeat to Chippa United

Kaizer Chiefs fans were relentless in showing their frustration at their team’s poor Absa Premiership performance this season, as they got violent at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

It was understandably an agonising experience having to watch the side succumb to one of their worst league defeats in the last decade, as Chiefs suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Chippa United over the weekend.

Towards the end of the second half, with Amakhosi 2-0 down, supporters expressed their discontent at the players’ lacklustre showing by calling for substitutions, while also calling for coach Steve Komphela’s head and football manager Bobby Motaung’s intervention.

Once the third goal was scored by ex-Chiefs striker Edward Manqele in stoppage time, the situation became dire as barricades were ripped apart and thrown about in the stands, threatening serious injury to innocent bystanders.

The fans did not stop there, however, as some gathered before the presidential suite, where the Glamour Boys hierarchy were seated, and hurled vulgar insults at ‘Bobsteak’.
