‘Vila’ set-up the winner for Percy Tau earlier in the second half after going into the halftime break tied at 1-1.

“The most important thing is the contribution to the team. So it’s been a great team effort. Coming to the game, I think we found it difficult to regroup after conceding," Vilakazi told SuperSport after the game.

“We had to found ourselves and we managed ourselves well after regrouping and equalised with a corner.

“In the second half, we came back and got the goal. Overall, it was a very tough game but we grinded the win through the difficult times in the game."

With the season approaching its climax, the onus for Downs is to collect as many points as possible to maintain their position at the top of the standings with the help of coach Pitso Mosimane.

“These are exciting stages. Points have to be collected. Have to maintain top spot. But we have the team and coach as well to give us the confidence even though at times things don’t go our way, we are able to get results,” he said
