Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric discusses Gareth Bale, Isco and Juventus UEFA Champions League tie

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric reflected on his 13 titles in the past six seasons and opened up about the club's plethora of attacking options ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Juventus.

In a repeat of the 2016/17 final in Cardiff, Los Blancos come up against the Serie A league leaders and Modric admits there's not much difference between the two sides - but gave insight over the recent success in Europe under head coach Zinedine Zidane.

"The most thing is experience and the small details that can be key. These are two teams with a lot of quality. What matters is who makes the fewest mistakes," he told reporters, as quoted by AS. "The boss will guide us."

With club-record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo in sublime form with 23 goals in 12 games across all competitions for the Galacticos, the diminutive midfielder admits Real have a massive advantage but with an array of attacking talents vying for positions alongside Ronaldo - there's been rumours of discontent brewing in the camp.

Gareth Bale and Isco have been vocal to the press in recent weeks with their alleged lack of playing-time under Zidane's management but Modric reiterated the Frenchman's sentiments about the star attackers.

"He [Ronaldo] has loads of self-confidence. He is in incredible form and that's very important for us. When Cristiano is switched on we have a better chance of going through," Modric said.

"[Bale] is looking good. He's happy, he's training well, but this season has been difficult for him due to injuries. Lately, he has felt good and he's scoring goals. We all know what he can do but he has to be fine physically. His contribution is really important to us."

On Isco, he added: "We'll see what the gaffer decides. I don't know if he's going to play, but he's a superb player and very important to our team."
