Two of the three Orlando Pirates goalkeepers are nursing injuries, as concerns over their availability grow ahead of the Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Wayne Sandilands is recovering from a finger injury, while Jackson Mabokgwane has a problem with his groin.
Mabokgwane is said to be recovering well and is undergoing rehabilitation with the strength and conditioning department. Sandilands, meanwhile, is still two to three weeks away from making a full recovery.
Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison, meanwhile, is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a groin strain. Morrison, who missed Pirates’ last league match against Golden Arrows due to suspension, has not been training with the first team because he is feeling discomfort in the affected area.
Pirates will not be in action this weekend as they are out of the Nedbank Cup, which will give their players some time to recover.
They are going to play against Celtic at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.
