Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia says young sensation Siphesihle Ndlovu would prefer a move abroad rather than to join one of the PSL's big guns.
Ndlovu is having a phenomenal season with the Team of Choice and recently earned himself a national team call-up, forming part of coach Stuart Baxter’s squad for the Four Nations tournament in Zambia.
Baxter played Ndlovu, who was named Absa Premiership player of the month for January, in both matches against Angola and Zambia.
Naturally, a player who does well will attract attention from the big guns in the PSL and it’s only a matter of time before the clubs in Gauteng make contact in an attempt to sign the versatile player.
He has scored six goals in all competitions for the Team of Choice and could find himself as a nominee for PSl footballer of the season.
Kadodia says Ndlovu has long term contract with the club and the player's wish and priority is to play abroad.
"We've a secured contract with Ndlovu and also we did speak to him and his agent that the right thing for his career," Kadodia said.
"The player's wish is to go to Europe if it’s possible. And his agent guided him that his form has been impeccable and being in Maritzburg will help him to get much more mature. But we'd like to honor his wishes to go to Europe first."
