Bafana Bafana midfielder Keagan Dolly is hoping to use his experience gained with Mamelodi Sundowns when they face Zambia on Saturday.
Bafana are set to take on Chipolopolo in the final of the four-nations tournament at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola this evening (17h00).
This is a stadium Dolly is familair with, having faced Zesco United in the group stages of the Brazilians' CAF Champions League-winning run back in 2016.
The 25-year-old expects a tough crowd with a hostile atmosphere, but stresses the importance of coming out victorious at the end of the competition as they build towards the 2019 AFCON qualifiers coming up in September.
"For me, personally, I know the type of crowd and atmosphere we can expect because I've played at the stadium before with Sundowns," said Dolly.
"But I know it's not going to be easy; it's never easy playing in Africa in front of the home nation's supporters, so it's just for us to carry on from where we left off against Angola.
"We're building towards a new vision and we've set new targets for ourselves, so we're focussed on working hard towards achieving those goals.
"I think winning this tournament will give us the confidence we need for when we play the important games like the AFCON qualifiers."
This will be the 21st meeting between Zambia and South Africa overall, with the latter in search of only their sixth ever victory while the hosts will be targetting their ninth.
The last time the two sides met at this venue, Orlando Pirates forward Justin Shonga netted a brace as Chipolopolo beat Bafana 2-0 (4-2 on aggregate) to qualify for the 2018 CHAN finals in Morroco.
