Daniels: We want to go all the way

Supersport United defender Clayton Daniels is looking forward to facing Gor Mahia FC in the CAF Confederation Cup, even though their opponents are a closed book.
Matsatsantsa, last year’s losing finalists, will come up against the Kenyan giants for a place in the group stages.
Mahia dropped to the Confederation Cup after losing 1-0 to Tunisian giants Esperance in the first round of the Champions League.
"I think it's gonna be a good encounter. It's another opportunity for us to get into the group stage," Daniels tells KickOff.com.
"Ja, we are looking forward to the game and we are gonna be prepared to go there and get the results. We are looking forward to go all the way in the tournament once again.
"We don't have as much knowledge about them as we would have liked but we know they play in the Kenyan league. We can take it from there and see what they are made of, then we'll need to capitalise, and we'll need to work on our defensive structures."
Daniels says going all the way in the competition won't affect SuperSport’s performances in the domestic league. Since losing the final to TP Mazembe in November last year, Matsatsantsa have struggled to get positive results and currently find themselves in a relegation dog fight in the bottom half of the Absa Premiership table.
Daniels feels they have a more balanced team this time, which can help them compete on all fronts.
"If you want to go all the way in this competition it's important to have the right balance, right programmes to go forward you know, because some of the guys played all the games last season in the CAF, they never had a break even in the off-season.
“But I think this time it's different. We have a much more younger group of players, and this is an opportunity for them. The coach [Kaitano Tembo] is believing in them, giving them opportunities to play. So for me we've gone back to the way we used to play, it's exciting times for us.
“You know we love what we do, so it's gonna be a very big game for us to go to Kenya and also when they come here, we'll showcase that we are a good team that can go all the way again."
