South African reserve league champions Golden Arrows are set to come up against La Liga side Girona in the wake of their Real Madrid thrashing.
Abafana Bes'thende are currently on a tour of Spain as part of their prize for winning this season's Multichoice Diski Challenge campaign – their second after claiming the title in 2015.
The Durban-based outfit set out to the Spanish capital of Madrid, where they enjoyed the sights of Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo netting four goals to help his side to a 6-3 league victory over Girona at the Santiago Bernabeau on Sunday.
That performance was to inspire Arrows to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over second division club Rayo Vallecano's reserve team on Monday, with Nkosikhona Dube coming off the bench to score a brace.
After a training session at Atlético Madrid's base on Tuesday morning, coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi's side were scheduled to face FC Barcelona reserves on Thursday, but an alteration has seen that fixture moved to next week Monday.
Instead, Arrows will now come up against the the very team they watched being ripped apart by Los Blancos on Friday.
