Former Orlando Pirates winger Lebohang "Cheeseboy" Mokoena says the Musa Nyatama he sees now is different to the one he played with at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Nyatama had an unsuccessful spell with Sundowns between 2011 and 2015, but was given another opportunity to play for one of the big three teams when the Buccaneers signed him from Bloemfontein Celtic at the beginning of the current campaign.

In his 25 appearances in all competitions for the Soweto giants, Nyatama has scored two goals and boasts three assists.

“I have been impressed with Musa Nyatama. The Musa I see now is not the same Musa I played with at Sundowns. He is smooth, clean, a two-touch player. Another player “Cheeseboy” has enjoyed watching this season is Zambian striker Justin Shonga.

Shonga has three goals and five assists this season and a lot more is expected from the 21-year-old.

“I love the aggression of Shonga. It’s been a while since Pirates had someone like that after [Tendai] Ndoro left – someone who is a workaholic and can finish. I have also been impressed with [Innocent] Maela. He is lifting his hand up whenever he plays.”

Maela has been called up to the Bafana Bafana team for the four nations tournament in Zambia.
