Celtic start their clear-out

Posted: 15 May 2009 Time: 21:55

Having safely negotiated their battle against relegation, Bloemfontein Celtic have now started their preparations for the new season by putting a number of players up for sale.

Among those are 27-year-old Ugandan defender Timothy Batabaire, who joined the club in the 2004/05 season from SC Villa in his homeland.   Joining him on the transfer list is Ditheko Mototo, who has not featured as regularly as he would have hoped since joining from Kaizer Chiefs.   Also up for sale is 20-year-old defender Keamogetse Wolff and Uganda striker Geofrey Serunkuma, while Congolese defender Cyrille Mubiala has not had his contract renewed.

What kinda crap is this, you letting good players go. I don't have to remind you the roles of Ditheko & Timothy. If there's one person who deserves to leave is Mathe.

Celtic and the management are making the biggest mistake of the next season by letting young players like tumelo nhlapo n kamogetswe wolff go!!!! These are young players have alot of expirienc in the younger south african squads!!!! between them theres more than 60 caps and i wonda how players like taaiboos n spandeel can be spared everytime wen players are off loaded!!! South African Football tends to forget that we need youth rather than old players who ill-perform for most of the season. Mark ma words "a player like Wolff will be the greatest natural left-full back South Africa has ever produced" Does Owen think that khabo was mistaken to bring these younger players to celtic? A gud coach thinks long-term rather than choosing old out of fashion players!!! Wot a loss on celtic side but hey we shall stand to see whr this player will go and how he rises to the occasion in another team and how celtics will regretin y they let him go
