Recently called-up Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba will arrive on international duty full of confidence after netting against Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco on Friday.

Mothiba, 22, looks set to win his first senior cap after being announced in head coach Stuart Baxter's latest squad and has done his chance no harm for a starting berth with his 11th goal of the season.

The powerful forward opened the scoring against second-placed Monaco to silence the Stade Louis-II, but the home side rallied to win 2-1, which leaves Les Dogues one point adrift from safety.

Former Manchester City duo Ronny Lopes and Stevan Jovetic scored for Leonardo Jardim's side but they still trail league leaders PSG by a massive 14 points.

It was Mothiba's second top-flight goal since being recalled from his season-long loan at Valenciennes where he scored eight league goals in 18 starts.
