Paris Saint-Germain have set their asking price for Real Madrid target Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain have set their asking price for world-record signing Neymar and Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane insists the transfer price is within reach.

Neymar, 26, joined the Ligue 1 leaders in August last year in a record-breaking €222m (R3.23b) transfer from FC Barcelona, but after just a few months in the French capital, the Brazil superstar is ready to return to Spain.

According to reports in Spanish publication Marca, PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has set a €400m (R5.83b) price-tag for the forward who's scored 28 goals in 30 games for Les Parisiens in his debut season.

Real head coach Zinedine Zidane told reporters ahead of their clash with Eibar, that the astronomical price is realistic, given the circumstances of the recent inflated transfer market.

"I think I cost €70-72million back in my day. I thought that was crazy back then," Zidane said, as quoted by SportsKeeda. "Maybe in another 10 years, it will be €400m, or even before that.

"Neymar is a very good player. He could play at any club."
