Rayon Sports' Ivan Minnaert pledges open CAF Champions League rematch with Mamelodi Sundowns

Rayon Sports coach Ivan Minnaert says no bus will be parked in their CAF Champions League rematch with Mamelodi Sundowns next weekend.

The sides drew 0-0 in the first leg of their first-round tie last night, with Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane drawing positives and negatives from his men's efforts in Kigali, Rwanda.

Minnaert, a former Black Leopards coach who joined Rayon 10 days ago, plans to bring the fight to the Brazilians at Loftus Versfeld.

"Yesterday my team showed something," Minnaert tells

"A win [in the second leg] maybe not, but Sundowns has to suffer. So we will try to do the same at the return.

"After five minutes Sundowns took the game in their hands until the substitutions I made. First 30 minutes we had difficulties then we made a change.

"Second half we deserved to win but that's football. We are trying to play our game through positive, attractive football.

"I'm not a coach who drives a bus, yesterday also not. With positive football we released a good performance. Expect the same philosophy as here - trying to play the ball around."

Mosimane recently gave credit to AmaZulu for resisting defensive tactics in a 3-1 win for the Absa Premiership leaders in Durban.

'Jingles' was less impressed with struggling SuperSport United's approach in the previous Tshwane derby stalemate.
