Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka and striker Leonardo Castro are nursing knocks ahead of Saturday night's Nedbank Cup last-16 tie with Stellenbosch FC at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Maluleka missed the 3-1 Soweto Derby league loss to Orlando Pirates with an ankle problem, while Castro hurt his foot in the marquee fixture.
Chiefs' medical team provided an update on the duo on the club's website, which reads: ''Mido' is nursing an ankle injury which also kept him on the sidelines for the Soweto Derby on Saturday.
'George Maluleka is training in the gym under the watchful eye of the medical team.
'As a measure of precaution, Leonardo Castro was also training in the gym on Tuesday morning, as Leo felt a slight pain in his foot.'
Meanwhile, new signing Kabelo Mahlasela is 'progressing well doing physical drills pitch-side' and striker Emmanuel Letlotlo has joined his teammates in training as the pair make their way back from knee surgery.
