Paris Saint-Germain attacking talisman Neymar speaks out after UEFA Champions League exit

Posted: 7 March 2018 Time: 19:00

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar revealed his thoughts over the last-16 UEFA Champions League exit to reigning champions Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Neymar, 26, was absent during their 2-1 second leg defeat at the Parc des Princes after undergoing surgery on his right foot, which has ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

The world-record signing has lived up Princesefty £200m (R3.3b) transfer fee since joining the club from FC Barcelona in the off-season, with 29 goals and 19 assists in 30 games prior to untimely setback.

And after failing to qualify for the quarter-final stage of the Champions League, the Brazil international sent a message to his Les Parisiens teammates.

"I'm sad for the loss, much sadder for not being on the field helping my teammates," he wrote on an Instagram post via his official account. "What makes me proud is to see everyone's effort. Congratulations mon gars, ALLEZ PARIS."
