Thulani Serero earned a memorable victory over his former club Ajax Amsterdam, the highlight of this weekend’s players abroad wrap.

KEAGAN DOLLY
Dolly was again an unused substitute as Montpellier drew for a third league game in succession, earning a point at home to fourth-placed Olympique Lyon. They now drop down one spot to sixth in Ligue 1, but 11 points adrift of Lyon who occupy the last Europa league berth, with 10 matches left in the season.

ANDILE JALI
Jali registered his 24th league appearance of the campaign, making his 21st start as Oostende won 3-2 away at fourth-placed Genk in the Belgian Pro League. The victory lifts them up to 10th in the standings, with just one game left of the regular season, and extends their unbeaten run to five games.

GIFT LINKS
Links made his sixth league appearance of the season on Friday night, playing the full 90 minutes as Egyptian club Alassiouty Sport suffered their third loss in the last four games, going down 3-1 at fourth-placed Al Masry. The result leaves them 10th in the Egyptian standings after 27 games.

Al Ahly’s league encounter on Sunday was postponed ahead of Tuesday’s CAF Champions League first round qualifier against CF Mounana of Gabon.

MAY MAHLANGU
Dinamo Bucuresti did not play a league encounter over the weekend ahead of their cup quarter-final clash against Craiova on Tuesday night.

LEBOGANG MANYAMA
Things are looking dire for last season’s PSL Player of the Year Manyama, who has still not featured this year for Konyaspor. He was again not in the squad as Konyaspor went down 1-0 to Yeni Malatyaspor, leaving them 16th on the log and in the relegation zone, three points adrift of safety.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
Brentford’s league clash against Cardiff City on Saturday was called off due to the heavy snow that fell in the United Kingdom last week.

LEBO MOTHIBA
Mothiba made his fourth start for Lille, playing the full 90 minutes as his side suffered a 2-1 defeat at Nice. They’ve now lost three and drawn two of their last five encounters, and sit in the relegation zone in 19th, one point behind Troyes in the relative safety of the last relegation play-off spot.

RICARDO NUNES
Nunes played the full 90 minutes in his 24th appearance of the season, as Pogon Szczecin played out a goalless draw with fifth-placed Korona Kielce. Szczecin are now up to 13th in the league after 26 games, having been bottom of the log for 10 match days earlier this season.

LEBOGANG PHIRI
Phiri was an unused substitute as Guingamp went down 3-0 to 14th-placed Angers, as they dropped one place to 11th in the French top-flight after 28 games.

KGAGELO SEKGOTA
Sekgota made his second league substitute appearance in his club’s second league game of the campaign, coming on for the last half an hour as Lithuanian club Stumbras earned their first point of the year in a goalless draw at home to Zalgiris.

THULANI SERERO
Serero recorded his 20th league start of the campaign, exacting revenge against his former employers as Vitesse shocked Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam 3-2 in Arnhem. Vitesse are now sixth in the Dutch top-flight with eight games left, while Ajax slip further behind leaders PSV, who are now 10 points ahead of them at the summit of the standings.

LUTHER SINGH
Singh made his 25th appearance of the season for Sporting Braga, playing the entire game as they earned a 1-0 win over 11th-placed Famalicao for their second win in a row. They’re still precariously positioned in 18th place on the log, just two points above safety.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Zungu was an unused substitute following his return to the match day squad after being injured, as Amiens suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Rennes, leaving them 16th in Ligue 1, just two points above safety with 10 games to go.
