Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves sets his on club ownership

Paris Saint-Germain defender Dani Alves has set his sights on the next stage of his career, with the Brazil international set to join forces with a former team-mate to buy a professional football club.

Alves, 34, is one of the most decorated footballers in European history with 30 major titles to his name for club and country, and is reportedly interested in a Portuguese second division club.

According to Brazilian publication UOL Esporte, the former FC Barcelona right-back will look invest with former national teammate Fred, to buy either Famalicao or Leixoes.

The Brazilian publication claims the veteran duo are set to use the club as an investment opportunity, with the intention of signing the brightest young talents in their native country, as a stepping-stone to bigger clubs around Europe.

Both clubs are firmly rooted in a mid-table position in the Segunda Liga.
