Mamelodi Sundowns forward Sibusiso Vilakazi was delighted that his brace contributed to his team winning defeating AmaZulu on Friday evening.
Vilakazi netted a second-half brace as the Brazilians downed Usuthu 3-1 at King Zwelithini Stadium to move seven points clear at the top of the table.
“We came from two draws in a row and that was a difficult one to swallow and we had to come here away to AmaZulu and get at least a draw if not all the three points which we did,” said Vilakazi to SuperSport TV.
“It was fantastic from the guys. The three points keeps us in the title. We were creating chances and were frustrated after we conceded a goal from our mistake.
“But at halftime we had to regroup and come up with a best performance in the second half. I was happy we scored those two goals because it contributed to the win, that’s the most important thing. It’s not for me but it contributed to the team.
“We have fantastic players when you come in you have to make sure you give in an input by all means but now we go to Rwanda with a good victory. It was important to have that good booster.”
