Baroka FC came back from a goal down to rescue a 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits and at the Bidvest Stadium in Friday’s Absa Premiership action.
Wits started strongly with Sifiso Myeni blasting a free-kick into a wall of Bakgaga defenders in the opening two minutes.
The former made no mistake after 10 minutes with a well-taken volley off a flick-on by Thulani Hlatshwayo inside the box.
Baroka retaliated with Gift Motupa looking to profit from a rebound, but it was straight into the hands of Darren Keet in the 29th minute.
They finally drew level, though, with Keet out of position and Daylon Claasen making an illegal challenge that forced the officials to award a penalty.
Motupa came to the fore to easily convert the spot kick with a hard and low drive in the bottom corner after 41 minutes.
In search of the maximum points, Wits made the first change with the entry of Thobani Mncwango for Vincent Pule at the start of the second half.
They made their second change with Cole Alexander taking the place of Claasen, as the game struggled to open up for them.
Drama then unfolded at both ends, with Abednego Mosiatlhaga brought down by Ayanda Dlamini, although there was no penalty call forthcoming.
Sifisio Hlanti propped up with a free-kick on the edge of the box, which forced Dlamini to tip away for a corner 15 minutes to full time.
Gavin Hunt threw his last dice, with the arrival of Eleazar Rodgers for an ineffective Lehlohonolo Majoro five minutes from time.
The lanky forward almost made an immediate impact when Mosiatlhaga picked him out at the far post, but his effort was parried for a corner with the spoils are shared in Braamfontein.
