AmaZulu boss plots for Tau threat

AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson has stressed the need for his team to cut off the supply to Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau tonight.
The teams will meet at Umlazi's King Zwelithini Stadium with 10th-placed Usuthu looking to complete a league double over the log leaders following their 2-1 win in October in Tshwane.
Tau has emerged as a favourite to win the PSL Footballer of the Season award, having provided nine assists and as many goals in the Absa Premiership - one less than Golden Boot frontunner Rodney Ramagalela.
Johnson is mindful Tau can only do so much without support from the likes of Tiyani Mabunda, Hlompho Kekana and Oupa Manyisa in midfield.
"I'll say that there are strikers in the world that are excellent and Percy is no exception within South African football," Johnson said of the Bafana Bafana star, who has hit three goals in his last three games for the Brazilians.
"I think you always have to look at the supply to Percy Tau because he can go wherever he wants but if he gets the ball then he's dangerous.
"So you got to look at the supply and I don't think it is Percy Tau per say, because if he was not in the team, a team environment, he'll be doing what he does.
"So he plays for the team and the team plays for him. So in one moment I always say look at the supply, don't look at the end product because the end product is because you are not controlling the supply."
Kick-off is at 18h00.
