FC Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde bemoans 'invisible penalty' against Las Palmas

FC Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde was left fuming after Lionel Messi's spectacular free-kick was unable to secure the LaLiga leaders three points against lowly Las Palmas.
Despite maintaining their astonishing unbeaten record in the Spanish top-flight the Blaugrana dropped two vital points at the Estadio de Gran Canaria, ahead of what could potentially be a title-deciding fixture with Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou on Sunday.
With five points separating the two sides and 12 games remaining, Valverde was left disappointed by what he described as an 'invisible penalty' awarded by referee Antonio Mateu - for an alleged handball by defender Lucas Digne.
"We don't know what the referee blew for during that play," Valverde said after the game, as quoted from AS. "Nobody knows in the dressing room. It was an invisible penalty.
"The match against Atletico comes up fast and it'll be important for both teams. We go into it with a bad taste in our mouths, because we could have got a win.
"We're the leaders and we're keen to stay in first place."
