Margeman talks of relegation stress

Ajax Cape Town midfielder Grant Margeman has admitted that it's difficult to remain positive and optimistic with relegation threatening the Cape side.
The Urban Warriors suffered their 11th loss of the season when they went down 1-0 to Golden Arrows on Sunday in Durban. They are second from bottom on 21 points, just four ahead of 16th-placed Platinum Stars with eight matches left to play.
The young Margeman conceded that staring adversity in the face at the highest level can be challenging for anyone, especially for a young and upcoming player like himself.
"Personally it can be difficult to remain focused and positive as things keep going against us," Margeman told KickOff.com.
"We as players are really putting in honest work but luck is also against us."
Margeman, though, is adamant they can erase the disappointment of the loss to Arrows by beating a struggling SuperSport United at Athlone Stadium tonight (19h30), before their tough away fixtures against Bloemfontein Celtic and AmaZulu.
"We owe it to our fans and we also cannot afford not to pick up points at home to SuperSport. So we going all out for three points as we desperately need it," he said.
"We have to take it one game at a time, but this is a very crucial period for us, we have to be positive and hope we will get maximum points," Margeman concluded.
