'No difference if Mou steers Ea Lla Koto'

AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson says it would make no difference if Jose Mourinho or Pitso Mosimane was in charge of Free State Stars when it comes to their consistent form on home soil.

Usuthu held Luc Eymael's Ea Lla Koto outfit to a goalless draw at Goble Park Stadium on Saturday, with Johnson content to collect a point on the road.

Stars, who are surprisingly challenging for the title with eight games left, have won six, drawn four and lost twice in Bethlehem this season.

“We are happy with a point because it is always difficult facing Free State Stars away,” Johnson told his club's website.

“Especially in Bethlehem and for years now, Free State Stars have given everyone, who comes to Bethlehem, a hard time.

“It does not matter who the Stars coach is – whether it is Jose Mourinho or Pitso Mosimane.

“It does not matter who they have as their coach. It is part of their culture. So, going to Bethlehem you are always going to have a hard time.

“It is good for football because you know you have to prepare differently when you face Stars in Bethlehem.”

He added: “We had moments in the game where we could have stole it. We did not have control of the match. For that reason, we are happy to come back home with a point.”

Tenth-placed Usuthu next host Mosimane's table-topping Mamelodi Sundowns at King Zwelithini Stadium this Friday (18h00).
