Serie A match report AS Roma v AC Milan 25 February 2018

Posted: 25 February 2018 Time: 21:23

AC Milan extended their unbeaten run in Serie A to eight matches with a 2-0 win over AS Roma on Sunday evening.

The victory sees Milan remain in seventh position, seven points behind the top four while Roma missed the chance to climb up as they remain fifth.

The opening stanza proved to be a tactical affair as neither side really took full control of the encounter, although Milan looked more solid at the back.

The game's first goal arrived three minutes into the second half as Suso sent a fine cross into the box, where Patrick Cutrone was on hand to convert for Milan.

Roma responded by introducing Eden Dzeko for Radja Nainggolan, who was ineffective in the middle of the park.

However, it was the visitors who got the next goal as Davide Calabria played a neat one-two with Franck Kessie before firing past Alisson with 15 minutes remaining in the half.

Sadly for Roma, who had won their last three league matches, they barely threatened the Milan goal in the second half as the visitors romped to the win.

Milan seem to have hit form at the right ahead of next week's derby against Inter, who defeated Benevento on Saturday night.
