Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes has downplayed reports of a fallout with winger Arjen Robben after the Dutchman voiced his discontent over being dropped.
Robben was named on the bench for the Bundesliga side's 5-0 mauling over Besiktas in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last-16 tie in mid-week.
Despite coming on as a 44th-minute substitute for the injured James Rodriguez, the 34-year-old admitted he was annoyed by his manager's decision.
"That's all exaggerated," Heynckes said referring to the fallout, as quoted via Kicker. "When players are ambitious, passionate, and professional, it's only reasonable that they all want to contribute in such a game.
"I deal with it in a completely relaxed way. It’s actually motivational for the whole troop."
Robben has scored five goals and registered 10 assists in 25 games across all competitions this 2017/18 campaign.
