New Royal Eagles coach Roger Sikhakhane has signed former Bidvest Wits striker Ryan Chapman, ex-Orlando Pirates winger Mpho Mvelase and Ghana international Victor Bokah.

Chapman recently parted ways with Stellenbosch FC; Mvelase left Chippa in the off-season, while Bokah previously had a trial with the Chilli Boys.

“We have signed three players but the club will release the statement when they are registered,” was all Sikhakhane would say.

The one-time Chippa coach also gave a measured response when asked about the performance of fellow recruit Masibusane Zungu in the 1-1 draw with Uthongathi on the weekend.

Zungu, whose career has been dogged by off-field issues, linked up with the NFD strugglers at the beginning of the year.

“He came and he’s got some moves. You could see he was frustrating the opponents but he still needs to work on his fitness level,” said Sikhakhane.

Eagles are 14th on the log with 20 points from 21 games, and next visit second-placed Real Kings on Saturday at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
