Bloemfontein Celtic defender Alfred Ndengane says it is a dream for him to play for one of the big teams in the PSL.
Ndengane, whose contract at Celtic runs until June 2019 having joined the club in 2014, was linked to Orlando Pirates during the January transfer window but a move failed to materialise.
“It is each and every player's dream to play for the big teams and hopefully by God's grace that can happen, and I won't say I would reject the offer or what,” Ndengane said.
“Now my focus is on Celtic because I'm still contracted to them. I won't say which team to choose but the way I'm playing it's up to coaches because I can say my play is suited for this and that and end up going to another team.”
Ndengane was flattered by the rumours connecting him with Pirates but says no one from the club contacted him.
“All I can say is that I never had something like that, I just read in newspapers. But for me, it means a lot because it shows that the work that I have been putting each and every time I play got recognition and people are seeing my hard work, and I'm happy with that.”
Meanwhile, Ndengane believes Phunya Sele were handed a tricky draw in the Nedbank Cup last 16 after they were pitted against NFD strugglers Richards Bay at home.
“It's a difficult draw and if I were to choose, I would pick a Premiership team rather than having an NFD team.
“We don't know much about them, but I'm sure they know everything about us. So playing against them will be difficult.
“But it is a home game for us and coming into Bloemfontein it's not easy and they will feel how it is to play there with so many supporters that will be singing for us.”
