A total of six players from various clubs have been ruled out of contention for this weekend's Absa Premiership action.

Maritzburg United are set to host AmaZulu at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday evening (20h00), and the visitors will be without the services of midfielder anchorman Michael Morton.

When Baroka take on Chippa United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15h30), teenage midfielder Goodman Mosele will be absent after being sent off in his side's 1-0 Nedbank Cup win over Platinum Stars.

Bidvest Wits travel to KwaZulu-Natal to face Golden Arrows on Saturday (15h30), but will have to leave winger Vincent Pule behind, while the home team will miss attacker Danny Venter through suspension.

In the pick of the weekend's clashes, Cape Town City will have to overcome Kaizer Chiefs without the help of captain Robyn Johannes and goalkeeper coach Brian van der Heever, who will both serve the last of their two-match suspension.
