Chapman on the club hunt again

Ryan Chapman is on the look out for a new club after parting ways with National First Division side Stellenbosch FC.
The former Santos striker had signed a one-year contract with Stellies and had big aspirations when he returned to the Mother City, but the relationship ended after just six months.
He was informed that he is no longer part of coach Steve Barker’s plans, hence his contract was terminated despite a few good cameo appearances for the club.
Like many players who have moved from Cape Town to Gauteng, Chapman struggled to fully make his mark when he joined Bidvest Wits in 2016. During his time with the Clever Boys, Chapman was loaned out to SuperSport United and Golden Arrows.
He is a player that had so much promise, but has not been able to live up to it.
“Yes, I have parted ways with Stellenbosch and I’m back in Jo’burg weighing up my options going forward,” Chapman tells KickOff.com.
“That’s life for you and I have to accept it and move on. I want to thank the club for the opportunity they have afforded me, it’s just a pity things didn’t work out for both parties.”
The experienced attacker says he has no intention of hanging up his boots.
“Look, I feel that I have a lot to offer still,” says the 30-year-old.
“I feel fit and my body feels strong. So as long as my body tells me to keep going, that’s what I’ll do. I’m professional about things.”
